My first issue with the environment is the character customization. The screens are crude and the level of detail is .. well ... no matter what you customize everyone tends to look very similar in the end. IF the developers who are amazing at building the worlds these avatar more around in, could spend 5 minutes on actual character improvements and detail, i would be more happy.For an alternative, check out one of the other developers of the old PSHome (Lockwood Publishing) and see the worlds they are creating for mobile devices (Avakin Life).. This game is not for everyone. Coming from someone who played Playstation Home for 6 years I can say from the small time I have played it has a ton of potential. The negative reviews I see from people are VERY mixed and I had experienced NONE of their problems. The game ran perfectly smooth on my system and connection was fantastic.The coolest part is this is a cross platform game with PS4.The controls so far are pretty solid and very easy to use for the chat interface and interactions around you. The visuals are like eye candy, spot on. Some parts could use a little work but overall gives you a nice enviroment to explore. Audio is fantastic and the spaces are interesting. Much room for improvement ahead in the future, more space, more items, more customization, personal spaces, sponsor spaces (for example the Red Bull spaces in Playstayion Home) are all in the lineup for what this platform has to offer.. This game is so badly optimized that there isnt lag its just slow and its locked at what seems to be 30fps and below.The game it self is all cosmetic dlc basically so theres that. on top of everything i regret the 0.4 hrs i put into this game. THE ONLY YOU CAN LEGIT DO IS SPIN FIDGET SPINNERS. I WISH I WAS JOKING.It is hilariously bad.edit: you can bowl too but its also awful. the Game will not load up. this game is so good and it just came out but the models are a bit stuffed up but soon they will fix that and the fun land looks so cool from the video i saw in game this game is so worth the wait to download. Im just going to list some things for you...The only game you can play is bowling. Theres music but you cant dance or strike any poses, the only things you can do is Bowl and Sit down (which takes a whole minute) Nobody wants to be there. (The most people ive met and talked to were 2)Looks like a Space Channel 5 level.CHOOSE LOW QUALITY! Or else youll have 16 fps, oh and you cant edit the quality, you can only choose High or LowYes i understand that this is "Early Access" but it looks like its nowhere near complete. Well, I was a user of PlayStation Home, which I miss incredibly, and I appreciate that Atom Universe is one of the successors to PlayStation Home. I just wish there were a lot of things on here that could have been done differently.The avatars look like they're on steroids. Why not have them look a bit more realistic? The movement (walking/running) doesn't look very natural either.The user interface is really clunky. I don't like how I have to open up my PDA to select a dance or a pose. The bleeps and the bloops are kind of annoying as well. I wish opening menus were more like how PlayStation Home's was, which actually Four Kings followed up with.I'm not saying, "Yeah don't play this, this is trash." I actually am very grateful that Atom Republic has made this, but I wish to see more improvements. In fact, I think it's really cool that they made this cross compatible with PS4 players. Of course, all the blue players (PS4) like to bash the green players (PC) because there are so many of them and not as many of us lol. I do hope for the best for Atom Republic and will keep checking back after each update!
